For several years now the Desk Diary has featured the work of internationally published photographer Lynn Funkhouser.
Lynn Funkhouser is an internationally published photographer, author, lecturer, environmentalist, adventuress and leader in dive travel. She specializes in underwater, nature, travel and environmental images.
Her dramatic photos have been published in calendars, ads and major magazines, notably in "Audobon", "Animals", "International Wildlife", "Time" and "National Geographic" Publications. As an evironmentalist, Lynn is committed to making a difference on this planet through her images and lectures. She is one of the founders of the International Marinelife Alliance, and serves as vice president of IMA, USA. She is also an Advisory Director to Ocean Voice International, Canada.
Lynn was honored to receive the 1994 SEASPACE/PADI Environmental Awareness Award "for her continuing efforts promoting reef preservation in the Phillipines and around the world." She leads several dive trips a year to the Phillipines.
Lynn was inducted into the Women Diver's Hall of Fame at the Beneath the Sea 2000 Awards Ceremony in New York.
